In 2016, seven Lewis colleagues gathered to pose the question: How do we move our many vital conversations about justice into action for justice? Knowledge is essential, of course. Once we have that knowledge, we must ask ourselves what we’re called to do with it.

The outcome of the dialogue among us in response to this question resulted in the inauguration of the Gros Institute for Dialogue, Justice and Social Action in the fall of 2018. Our first annual Gros Memorial Event featured speaker, Dr. Jennifer Howe Peace, educator, author, and artist. She skillfully paved the way for the many vibrant conversations, initiatives, and actions that followed.
