Mission The Brother Jeffrey Gros, FSC Institute for Dialogue, Justice and Social Action, grounded in our Lasallian Catholic heritage, aims to create a place of welcome and belonging; inform and educate through curricular and co-curricular trainings and events; and build relationships to strive together toward the common good. The Institute brings together ecumenical, interfaith, and secular humanist partners to collaborate and advance action towards social justice on campus and in the region.

Institute Goals

  • Foster justice and peace through: knowledge of Catholic social teaching, deepened respect across differences, commitment to inclusive community, and solidarity with those who are oppressed.

  • Build relationships and cultivate engaged pluralism with intra-faith, interfaith and intercultural partners across the Lasallian global network and in the broader community.

  • Understand and analyze the challenges of the times through intentional dialogues toward social action.

  • Leverage and grow cross-university connections to build bridges and collaborate toward justice through academic (especially through Peace & Justice Studies and its interdisciplinary partners) and co-curricular experiences.

  • Mobilize students, colleagues, and community partners to be agents for transformation and justice.
