Interfaith Holidays Calendar
The Interfaith Calendar has been developed by the Interfaith Cooperation Committee (IFCC), a subcommittee of the Mission and Heritage Council. Consistent with our Lasallian mission, Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ« recognizes the need to welcome, honor and support people of diverse faith traditions, religious identities, and spiritual commitments. The calendar speaks to the value each member of our university brings and the ways in which we hope to honor and support their identities and faith commitments within our campus community.

Goals of the interfaith Calendar
Educate the campus community about spiritual and cultural holidays;
Foster a sense of belonging for community members who celebrate these holidays;
Cultivate a spirit of hospitality and inclusivity in our campus community, aligned with the Lewis University Mission and Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ«’s designation as a Sanctified Zone “united in diversity.”
The Interfaith Calendar is not an official designation of spiritual and cultural holidays recognized or observed by Â鶹ÊÓƵ×îÐÂ×îÈ«; rather, the calendar is meant to be an educational resource for our Lewis community. We aim for the calendar to promote knowledge about and respect for religious and cultural diversity in our classrooms and in our campus community more broadly.
This calendar provides a reference point for celebrations, holidays, or spiritual engagements that Lewis community members may observe during the academic year. The list provided is not exhaustive, and we recognize that inclusivity requires our ongoing, active commitment to both learning and labor. IFCC welcomes additions and edits by emailing Dr. Elizabeth Sartell (esartell@lewisu.edu). We appreciate your work to educate us as we work to enrich our campus community.
